Our client is a global leading manufacturing company specialized in raw chemical materials, semi-finished engineered solutions and operates a broad range of floor coverings for the residential and commercial markets as well as upholstery fabrics.

It is headquartered in Belgium and they have production sites in 17 countries across Eurasia, America and Oceania and serve customers in 140 countries.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • You will support the implementation, execution and measurement of their Commercial Excellence strategy.
  • You support selected divisions in the implementation of commercial excellence (Comex) initiatives related to prescriptive selling (segmentation, go to market and account plan, etc.), including onboarding, managing and coaching the teams.
  • You act as subject matter expert and provide sparring to the selected divisions.
  • You build Commercial Excellence capabilities of the organization by driving a common methodology across divisions.
  • A Comex multi-year roadmap and targets have been built: this position imbeds long-term capabilities and execution in the central team of customer segmentation, customer satisfaction surveys, go-to-market strategies, account planning, cross-divisional selling, incentive schemes, etc
  • You codify learnings across divisions and develop Comex transformation playbook to ensure continuous knowledge transfer across divisions.
  • You proactively identify and mitigate execution risks and roadblocks, together with senior leadership.
  • You help synthesize and present output to the leadership team, SteerCo, and stakeholders in the organization.

Reporting

The position reports to the Commercial Excellence Director.

Competencies and skills

  • You have a background in Commercial Excellence / Sales & Marketing / Consultancy.
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience.
  • You have a strong understanding of and proven track record with market-driven selling concepts (e.g. customer segmentation, GTM models, account management, etc.).
  • You have strong interpersonal skills required to explain methodology, drive change and ensure sharing of best practices.
  • You are well organized, you can set up, drive and report progress of multiple work streams/initiatives.
  • You have a passion for building capabilities.
  • You are data driven and result oriented.
  • You have strong Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of the industry is a plus.
  • Languages: English, Dutch
