COUNTRY CLUSTER PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Position overview

The Country Cluster Benelux Procurement Manager will be working closely with the business to drive projects directly within IT & Telco, External Resources, and other Indirect categories, leveraging the global and local category capabilities for a three digit million EUROs spend per year. This person will work closely with key stakeholders to capture value to the bottom-line of the initiatives delivered in the cluster. The projects savings matrix will require regular reviews with the CEO, CFO and COO to ensure all elements are on-track and all parties are happy with the on-going results. This individual will be working closely with the CFO’s of Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and will be responsible for business reviews.

 

Reporting

The position reports directly to the Head of Procurement North Europe of Group Procurement

 

 Qualifications

  • Business oriented professional with several years' experience (7+) within a leading-edge company recognized for its purchasing excellence.
  • Should be perceived as a value adding and reliable partner on senior business stakeholder level.
  • A track record of achievement of cost savings and negotiating critical deals. Able to measure and demonstrate improvements in customer service.
  • Extensive Procurement experience, specifically in the categories External Resources, Professional Services, and IT&Telco.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative solutions to complicated purchasing initiatives or account specific Eco Systems, in a fast moving and demanding environment.
  • Strong negotiator able to negotiate on both an intellectual and relationship basis.
  • Proven capability in leading large-scale change initiatives and embedding new organizations and new ways of working.
  • Should be perceived as a People manager who contributes to people development during role changes.
  • Good communication and networking skills and able to work effectively as either a professional or as part of a team in a global matrix environment.
  • Must be flexible and have strong influencing skills to use both a facilitative and directive approach to "sell" method to customers and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Highly motivated towards achieving cost savings and corporate goals (i.e. commercially minded).
  • Must have excellent inter-personal skills to succeed in a challenging environment and driving change in a positive manner.

 Other

  • Location: Utrecht, occasional visit to Brussels offices
  • Travel within the cluster, mainly within BeNeLux to meet stakeholders, as well as travelling twice a year within Europe to attend regional meetings
